Erwin “Smitty” Smith - bought his first motorcycle in 1927, a 1908 Flying Merkel for $5. He is a well-known motorcycle dealer, engine builder, restorer and race sponsor. Best known for his part as a tuner for the famed Indian Wrecking Crew, he has helped so many riders who otherwise wouldn't have stood a chance.

Dick Gross - was an expert racer in his own right. A master machinist and engineer, Gross was known as the "wizard of tune" amongst his peers. Following his racing career he turned to the tuning aspect of the sport, helping a select set of racers, including Bobby Hill and Bill Tuman with his self engineered "Four Lobe" cam system for the Indian Scouts of the day.

Art Hayfer - of Kalamazoo, MI National number 29 returned to racing after WWII as both a rider and increasingly as a tuner of the Indian Scout. Hayfer won races against the Nations best of the time including Chann and Dykgraaf. He is best known for his tuning abilities on the famous "White Indians of Kalamazoo" which propelled Ernie Beckman of the famed Indian Wrecking Crew
